KMF arranged for CTN, Cambodia's leading TV station, to broadcast a 13-part season of its topical films.
Their early popularity enabled CTN to attach a commercial sponsor. The run was then extended by four weeks - to a total of 17 weekly programmes.
The half-hour programmes - on subjects such as HIV, Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, the Khmer Rouge Trials, Disability in the Arts and Cambodia's Economic Development - were commissioned from KMF during the past year by NGOs, INGOs and Government Departments. Clients included the Asia Foundation, Family Health International, UNDP, GTZ and the Women's Affairs Ministry.
Shown on Sundays at 13.00 - one of CTN's peak time slots - the programmes were seen by audiences of between 1.5 million and 2.5 million Cambodians each week.
The broadcasts started on 31 May 2008 and ran until 28 September.
