Concept meetings with client for Khmer Rouge films |
Research:
Before starting a project, KMF places much emphasis on research. After briefings from clients to pinpoint the target audience, KMF probes the subject thoroughly.
Concepts & scripts:
A range of concepts is submitted to clients for further discussion and enhancement. Next, 1st draft scripts are written and presented, reworked until client and KMF are satisfied they will engage and appeal to the audience.
Pre-tests:
If resources permit, pre-tests will be conducted on the concepts and scripts with a target audience sample.
Examples:
1) Before filming Facing the Truth (HIV testing for pregnant women), a pre-test on concept and story was conducted in January 2008.
2) Two photos on the left show pre-tests for a series of children's TV spots on the law made for CLEC (Community Legal Education Centre) in March 2007.
