KMF's second movie, Vanished (originally Heart Talk) is a pacy contemporary thriller about three attractive female presenters at a chic but troubled Phnom Penh radio station. Two, Chantha and Kim, disappear - possibly murdered. The third, Maly, receives threats and feels her life is constantly in danger. The story is devised to keep audiences guessing 'who-dun-it' until the last moment.
Vanished stars the talented and stunning actress, Savay Sakana. She plays Maly, a haunted young woman who learns to overcome her deepest fear. Top comedy actor, Pov Kisan, changes hats to play Heng, a world-weary detective. Popular film and TV actors play the other lead characters.
Acclaimed UK Director of Photography (and KMF founder), Bill Broomfield lit and directed the action. Cambodian Tom Som directed the actors. Written by Matt Baylis, British novelist and screenwriter with much personal experience of Cambodia, the script was translated by Kiri Roat.
Vanished is a fully-funded 100-minute film (with English subtitles) to be released in Cambodia on 4 September 2009.
