Information about the Virtual Tribunal

The first focus group for Virtual Tribunal at KMF's offices in Phnom Penh, moderated by KMF's Kanika Tan and Chuon Samnang Wednesday 30 June 2010

Following the proven success of its long-running TV series Duch on Trial, KMF has been contracted to create ‘gateways’ for Khmer Rouge Virtual Tribunal.
The Tribunal is a ground-breaking website, the product of a collaboration between the War Crimes Studies Center of the University of California ECCC, the Hoover Institute of Stanford University and the ECCC.
KMF’s gateways will be designed to guide specific user-groups through the huge array of written, visual and graphic content uploaded to the site. Each gateway will address the distinctive needs of different sections of Cambodian society.
The first gateway is being designed to allow young Cambodians (target ages 14 – 25) user-friendly and trouble-free guidance round the site. To this end, focus groups are currently being held in Phnom Penh and the provinces to pinpoint this particular user-group’s needs.
